| 1、Purchase
of carpets---
The carpet purchased should conform to the size
of the floor, and its colors and properties should
conform to the ocasion.
Usually a passageway need anti-soil and abrasion-proof
carpets and a parlor need soft, splendid chemical
fiber carpets or wool carpets. Generally speaking
carpet quality is decided by sorts of textile fiber,
quantity, density and height of knops. Silk and
wool are best in comprehensive performance. Denser
are the knops, better is performance of the carpet.
In China the knop density index of knotted
carpets is number of warps per foot. High grade
carpets have an index above 90. They are soft and
but not easy to be cleaned. In addition high-quality
carpets have even surface and uniform thickness,
rehabilitate after being pressed and their back
lining should stick to the carpets fast. You should
choose a proper price. Manual knitted wool carpets
are expensive and chemical fiber carpets are cheap.
2、 Maintenance of
carpets---
After carpets are laid, they must be maintained
regularly to keep clean and reduce abrasion. Dirts
on carpets are mainly two classes: 1.dusts and
granular matters; 2. oil and other chemical dirts.
The former can be solved by regular dust arresting
or washing and the latter must be solved by chemical
solvents under guide of professionals. On the latter
occasion, if improper methods are adopted, the
smears may expand, so you must be cautious.

floss, a normal phenomenon.
2: Beware of scraping of sharp tools and burning
of cigarette stubs.

so they needn't antimoth agents which are harmful
to people and carpets.
4: Smears should be cleaned in time because they
would be harder to clean after a time.
5: After washing knops of the carpet should be
arranged in the same direction or else the carpet
won't keep its appearance after being dried.
6: Dust wiping rugs should be set at the doorway
to avoid dusts are brought onto the carpet area.
Washing of carpets:
Partial or complete washing is arranged according
to pollution extent.
Partial washing:used against small smears or area
susceptible to pollution. It includes several methods:
1: Put detergent or spray water onto the carpet,
rub it with towel then absorb water with a dry
towel;
2: Sprinkle cleaning powder onto the carpet, scrub
it with a brush, then catch the powder;
3: Eject concocted washing liquid onto the carpet,
then perform vacuum dust suction with cleaner with
sprayer and vacuum dust suction.

regular complete washing should be performed. But
times of complete washing should be too many.
